Accessing Profile Settings
- Click your profile at the bottom of the sidebar
- Select User Settings from the dropdown
- Or navigate directly to /dashboard/settings
Updating Your Avatar
Your avatar is the profile image that shows up next to your name in the sidebar, on team pages, and in activity logs.
- Find the Avatar field at the top of the profile section
- Click the avatar (or the Upload prompt) and choose an image from your computer
- The new avatar previews right away
- Click Save to apply the change
Recommended: a square image, at least 200 x 200 pixels. PNG, JPEG, GIF, and WebP are accepted.
To remove your avatar, click Remove under the avatar preview.
Updating Your Display Name
Your display name appears in your profile and is visible to team members.
- Find the Name section
- Enter your new name in the field
- Click Save
Your name updates immediately across the platform.
Changing Your Email Address
Your email is used for signing in and receiving notifications.
To Change Your Email
- Find the Email section
- Enter your new email address
- Enter your current password to confirm
- Click Save
After Changing
- A verification email is sent to your new address
- Click the link to verify your new email
- Until verified, you can still sign in with your old email
- Once verified, use your new email to sign in
Note: If you lose access to your old email before verifying the new one, contact support.
Email Verification Status
Your current email verification status is shown next to your email:
- Verified (green): Your email is confirmed
- Unverified (yellow): You need to verify your email
If unverified, click Resend verification email to get a new verification link.
Country
Your country is used to localize date and number formatting, and helps support understand your region if you ever contact us.
- Find the Country dropdown
- Pick your country from the list
- Click Save
This is a personal preference — it doesn’t change your billing country or your team’s settings.
Language Preferences
SnapGlyph supports 5 languages for the interface.
Changing Your Language
- Find the Language section
- Select your preferred language from the dropdown
- The interface updates immediately

Your language preference is saved to your account and applies to the web application.
Note: The browser extension does not currently support multiple languages, although this may be added in the future.

Troubleshooting
Can’t save name changes
- Ensure the name field isn’t empty
- Check for special characters that might not be allowed
- Try refreshing the page and attempting again
Email change not working
- Verify you entered your current password correctly
- Check that the new email isn’t already registered
- Ensure the new email format is valid
Verification email not arriving
- Check spam/junk folders
- Wait a few minutes and try resending
- Add noreply@app.snapglyph.com to your contacts
- Try a different email address if issues persist
Language not changing
- Refresh the page after selecting
- Clear your browser cache
- Try a different browser
